Malay Style Fried Bee Hoon

Hello,

Fried noodles either rice noodles, yellow noodles or ramen noodles are popular almost everywhere. There are many way to cook noodles, fried, soup, dry or wet noodles and their are all comes with a great tastes. Sometimes the simple fried noodles can be satisfying, and I prefer when they are simple but taste good.

I usually prepare my fried beehoon as simple as village style people prepare their food. So this fried bee hoon Malay style is our normal way to cook fried bee hoon at home. We can adding meat, seafoods or vegetables depending on individual preferences, it works in anything!



MALAY STYLE FRIED BEE HOON

Ingredients;

1/2 packet dry rice vermicelli
4 cloves garlic, sliced
1 shallot, sliced
1-2 small chillies, optional
2 tablespoon dry shrimp, soak in warm water for a few minute, chopped
1 egg
Light soy sauce
Salt

METHOD;

- Soak the rice vermicelli in a warm water for 30 minute or until soft and drained
- Heat little oil in a wok and sauté garlic, shallot and small chillies until fragrant.
- Add dry shrimp and continue to fry for a minute.
- Add in the egg and cook like scramble.
- Add the rice vermicelli and season with soy sauce and salt.
- Stir fry the noodles for a few minutes, add a little water if desire and cook until everything mix together.
- Served with a squeeze of lime or extra chili on the side.
